I'm really sorry if you tried to read my last post on Valencia's Valor, and it didn't work. Unfortunately that blog won't let me post, so I'll just post the chapter here:
Today was the first of two parties in honor of the new Princess. They are both held at the palace, there are music, dancing, food, and speeches. Every noble family came, making the courtyard, and adjoining rooms packed, for the throne room was reserved for the King, Queen, Princess who were seated on their thrones, and the dancing couples. I glanced around me at all the people, talking and laughing. I saw Robyn and her friend talking in a corner, they seemed happy to be here. Robyn was wearing a flatteringly low cut pastel yellow gown, and was , I must admit, very beautiful in it. I decided that soon I would ask her for a dance, but first I must get myself together.
I walked around the room trying in vain to sum up the correct wording. I sighed, Well, I thought to myself I may as well give it a go, she can answer however she likes. I finished my stroll around the room and stopped when I came to her.
I made small talk for a little while, she denied knowing me, but I could see recognition in her face. Soon I could hear myself asking her for the next dance. She hesitated, but finally agreed.
We danced slowly around the floor. I tried obtaining information about her, but all of her answers were brief and I couldn't get much out of her. We finished the dance which lasted a wonderful length of time. At the end I bowed and pressed my lips to her gloved hand in the traditional way, though it felt unexplainably special with her.
I danced one dance with my younger sister, a request from my father, and another with Princes Lila as customary, but neither seemed quite as good as the one with Robyn. I still couldn't tell what it was about her that I liked so much, I guess it was everything.
The rest of the party was pretty dull, I talked to a few friends to burn time but I couldn't stop thinking of Robyn. I decided that the day after tomorrow I would go call on her, but until then I would have to make due with just thinking about her.
Holiday cheer!

Notification
In case any of you have not noticed the past two posts on my other blog(Valencia's Valor), have not shown up. First of all if anyone has any suggestions as to why they are not, please tell me! Second of all I will be posting the chapters here on this blog until I can figure it out. So here is Robyn's second chapter, it will be the last for a while so we can have some time to write.
By the way the setting for this one is Robyn is at an after party for the coronation.
Corry was late once again, forcing me to chat with the other young people, an action I found quite distasteful. That girl was going to drive me to my grave!
Now I absentmindedly conversed with Lisa, Lila's cousin. She was overly obsessed With the throne, declaring it was rightfully hers for she was older, I could care less which one got it.
Just when Lisa told me yesterday should've been HER coronation, Lila approached us, shutting Lisa up immediately. While Lila had blond hair and bright blue eyes, Lisa had frizzy red hair and green eyes the color of a horse pasture. Today, Lila was dressed in a light green; Lisa dressed in a navy blue.
"Hello Lady Robyn, Lisa," Lila said with a nod towards both of us. Lisa scoffed and walked away, her nose in the air.
"Thank you," I told Lila, hugging her.
"No problem. I detest my cousin as much as you do!" we giggled behind our hands.
"Well, Lady Yerinrik, yellow quite becomes you," a deep, raspy (but not unattractive), voice addressed me to my right.
William was rapidly walking towards us, and he bowed once he was no further than a yard away from me. Lila and I curtsied in reply, then Lila excused herself and hurried to greet some duke.
"Thank you, Sir...?" I decided to play dumb, maybe he would get the hint and leave me alone. He didn't.
"William. Do you not remember me?"
"Have we met before?"
"Yes, at various other parties." He looked at me funny "Do you not remember me?"
"Oh," was my simple-minded reply, ignoring his question.
"Would you like to dance?" He inquired, offering his palm. I hesitated, but agreed, taking his hand and curtsying.
I hadn't danced in such a long time. His warm left hand completely engulfed my small gloved right hand. His other hand was placed firmly but gently on my hip and my left hand rested gracefully on his shoulder. We waltzed smoothly around the ballroom. Who knew that a single dance with an almost stranger would lure me into a perfect bliss?
After a few turns around the throne room, William started a conversation with me. I didn’t let him know much about me, just my likes and dislikes. I learned very little about him though.
Once the song was over, he let go of me and kissed my hand. "It was lovely dancing with you," he turned and left with that single statement.
A statement that left me blushing.
Corry was by my side in a moment's time.
"What happened to you?" she inquired, her eyebrows raised as she studied my trance-like state.
"Oh, nothing," I sighed.
Happy Reading!
